Q: What was your first job?

A: I worked as a sales associate at a large clothing retailer. This job was a formidable training ground for all of the jobs that I would hold in the future since providing excellent customer service was a primary goal. Another valuable lesson learned was that it is extremely important to not only listen to a request or question, but to truly understand it.

Q: What do you believe brings clients to Williams Adley?

A: I provide excellent customer service and responsiveness to client needs and deadlines. Excellent customer service encompasses understanding clients’ business environments, business cycles, and how these factors affect their financial reporting/ accounting/ audit needs. It is also important to understand what keeps clients up at night and work to provide services that help to mitigate these issues. It is of utmost importance to not only be aware of client deadlines, but work to provide client deliverables with adequate time for the client to review and provide feedback as necessary.

Q: How do you keep a competitive edge?

A: I stay abreast of industry changes, participate in continuing education, and have a personal and professional commitment to constantly learn and grow. I believe that every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. In order to keep my competitive edge, I interact with and complete continuing education courses that are being taught by industry experts who perform similar services for clients in the industries that I serve.

Q: Name one of your talents that benefits clients most.

A: My ability to multi-task and prioritize greatly benefits my clients. Due to the nature of our firm and the accounting industry in general, I frequently find that I am tasked with managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously. During these challenging times, it is absolutely necessary to communicate the importance of the looming deadlines to other members of my team and client personnel to ensure that we have received all necessary documentation to complete our work in a timely manner.

Q: How do you spend your time outside of the office?

A: I love to travel, attend concerts, dance, and participate in physical fitness activities.

Q: What quote or saying guides your professional and/or personal life?

A: “Strive for Excellence” and “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”  ~Winston Churchill
